The military is trying to fast-track a plan to expand restricted military airspace over Johnson Valley — without proper review, public input, or transparency.

If they succeed, off-road access could be permanently cut, and events like King of the Hammers would be forced off the map.

This isn’t just another land-use fight.
👉 Congress created Johnson Valley for OHV recreation. Now federal agencies want to change that — with no vote and no accountability.

Uses a shortcut Environmental Assessment instead of a full Environmental Impact Statement
Fails to notify key stakeholders and the off-road community
Reduces the amount of time the public can respond to a major land-use changePuts the entire future of King of the Hammers at risk
